1999Spring Arrived south on time, where first reported 4/23 Faribault RJ. Early north 4/10 (ties earliest date on record for the entire state) Polk KE et al., 5/16 Otter Tail SDM. Peak counts 5/18 Roseau (102) AH, PS, 5/19 Marshall (14) AH, PS. One in St. Louis was the only report for the northeast region. Late south 5/25 Meeker (6) DF, 5/28 McLeod (1) DF. Also reported in Big Stone, Lac qui Parle, Kandiyohi (6), Dakota (6). Grand total of at least 142 godwits in 12 counties.
1999Fall No reports.
2000Spring Statewide total more than 280 individuals in 18 south and 8 north counties. Reported from all regions but only Goodhue in southeast, Aitkin in north-central, St. Louis in northeast. Early south 4/22 Yellow Medicine (5) TT, near median arrival date (4/21). First county record 5/13 Waseca JSt. Only April report north 4/23 Wilkin (1) CM, then 5/9 St. Louis JLi. Concentrations reported during mid-May at Miedd L. in Yellow Medicine (peak 75 on 5/13, RgS), Lone Tree L. in Lyon (peak 43 on 5/17, PS), and Pierce L. in Martin (peak 80+ on 5/18, FL).
2000Summer All observations: late migrants 6/2 St. Louis KRE, 6/7 Big Stone †KJB, 6/11 St. Louis PHS; plus mid–summer record 6/26 Big Stone †KJB.
2000Fall Only reported from Big Stone, where found by †KJB on 8/15 (4) and 8/21.
2001Spring Statewide total 73+ individuals in 11 south and 7 north counties, down from last spring's 280+ birds. Found in all regions except Northeast. Arrived on time. Early south 4/21 Blue Earth LWF, 4/22 Hennepin SLC. Early north 5/8 Roseau PHS, 5/11 Polk JEB. All counts less than a dozen.

2001Fall All north reports: 8/25 Wilkin (3) CRG and Otter Tail (3) †DTT, †SMT, 9/22 – 10/3 St. Louis (40th Ave. West in Duluth) m.obs. This species normally occurs in very small numbers during fall migration but in August, double digit counts were routine in Big Stone (maxima 27 on 8/16, Toqua Twp., and 17 on 8/25, Odessa) and Lac qui Parle (maximum 15 at Big Stone N.W.R.) counties. Also seen 8/13 Lyon JJS, 9/28 Lac qui Parle (2) BEO, 10/26–27 Dakota (1) ADS et al.
2002Spring Statewide total no fewer than 740 birds in 19 south and 11 north counties, far exceeding the 274+ birds (19 counties) during Spring 2000 migration.
